Alisha Sabourin, B.A., M.C.
Registered Provisional Psychologist | Certified Grief Recovery Specialist®
Working with people who have experienced grief and loss impassioned my interest in pursuing a specialization in Grief Recovery®. I also had the painful experiences of putting my childhood dog down and going through a traumatic break-up that involved significant losses of trust and safety. Through my personal journey of loss and healing I learned the value of being gentle with my emotions, the power of forgiveness, and that I am ultimately responsible for my recovery.
As a Registered Provisional Psychologist and Certified Grief Recovery Specialist®, I have supported people through a variety of presenting matters including grief and loss, complex trauma, dual and multiple diagnosis, physical impairments, brain injury, cognitive and developmental delays, addictions, youth at risk, family-oriented concerns, and sexual and physical abuse. I am also LGBTQ friendly.
I have extensively travelled the world and some of my favourite destinations include Croatia, Lebanon, Egypt, Turkey, Malaysia, Spain, and England. I am foodie at heart and love trying new restaurants. I also enjoy spending time with my friends, attending musical festivals, and practicing yoga and boxing to stay fit.
