Vanessa Iceton, B.A., M.C.
Registered Provisional Psychologist
Ever since I was a young girl, I can remember my friends and family members seeking my support and guidance. I have always been passionate about helping others, and that is what ultimately lead to my career path as a psychologist.
I am passionate about grief and trauma, due to my own loss experiences. Particularly, the death of my great aunt and grandmother, whom I was extremely close to. Through my healing I learned to be compassionate with my emotions, appreciate every moment with my loved ones, and cherish the here-and-now. I truly focus on being present every single day and releasing negative energy from my life.
As a Registered Provisional Psychologist, I have supported people who have experienced grief and trauma due to death, romantic break-up, infidelity, work-related stress, job loss, physical injury, disability, sexual assault, addictions, at risk behaviour, financial loss, and more.
In my personal time, I enjoy living a healthy lifestyle, working out, cooking, going to concerts and farmer’s markets, and attending YEG activities. I also enjoy travelling, food, wine, and spending time with my family and friends.
Vanessa is a Registered Provisional Psychologist who has specialized training in evidenced-based therapies including, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and David Burns’ T.E.A.M. Therapy.
